A proper dream for wine lovers, this unusual fountain in Italys Abruzzo region serves free red wine to travellers and pilgrims without charging a single euro.

In the small Italian town of Abruzzo, a unique fountain known as the "Fontana del Vino" flows with red wine instead of water, offering it for free to visitors. This fountain, located along the "Cammino di San Tommaso" pilgrimage route, was established by the Dora Sarchese winery in 2016. It dispenses about 700 liters of their ruby red wine daily, attracting tourists and pilgrims alike. The fountain not only serves as a novel attraction but also embodies the spirit of sharing and community, as it is refilled daily to ensure a continuous flow of wine for all to enjoy.
