New Boston late-night food truck program to launch this summer

Mayor Michelle Wu says it's going to provide food trucks the opportunity to utilize public sites designated for late-night service.

The City of Boston has launched a new pilot program allowing food trucks to operate in the city from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, starting from May 19, 2023, to test the feasibility of late-night food options. This initiative, aimed at enhancing the city's nightlife and supporting local businesses, will see food trucks stationed at City Hall Plaza and near the intersection of Canal and Causeway streets. The program, which will run until October 28, 2023, is part of broader efforts to revitalize downtown Boston and was developed in collaboration with Mayor Michelle Wu's office and the food truck community.
