Test Shows Junk Food's Alarming Impact on Human Cognition

A recent test conducted by 60 Million Consumers, a French consumer advocacy group, revealed alarming levels of potentially harmful chemicals in popular junk foods, including Pringles, Lay's chips, and M&M's. The study found that these products contained high levels of phthalates and mineral oils, substances linked to health issues such as cancer, infertility, and metabolic disorders. Phthalates, used to soften plastics, were detected in 17 out of 18 products tested, while mineral oils, which can contaminate food through packaging, were found in all 18 products. The highest levels of these chemicals were found in Pringles, prompting the group to call for stricter regulations on food packaging and ingredients to protect public health.
