Ilia Topuria has revealed that he used to sink bottles of wine to shed weight before fighting. Typically, the beverage is viewed by many as having the opposite effect, but for ex-UFC featherweight …
Ilia Topuria, a UFC featherweight contender, revealed that he drank wine during his weight cut for his fight against Josh Emmett at UFC Jacksonville, which he won by unanimous decision. Topuria explained that he consumed wine to help him sleep better and to aid in the weight-cutting process, a practice he learned from his teammate and fellow UFC fighter, Giga Chikadze. Despite the unconventional method, Topuria successfully made weight and performed well in the fight, showcasing his skills and maintaining his undefeated record in the UFC.
