  • Suffolk Parks & Recreation is getting ready to the city's first International Fest on Saturday.

The Suffolk International Festival, taking place on May 20, 2023, at Bennett's Creek Park in Suffolk, Virginia, will celebrate the city's diverse cultures through a variety of activities including food, music, and dance from around the world. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature performances by groups such as the Filipino-American Association of Greater Hampton Roads and the Tidewater Chinese School, alongside food vendors offering international cuisines like Jamaican and Filipino dishes. Additionally, the festival will include a naturalization ceremony for new U.S. citizens, highlighting the theme of cultural integration and community.
