  • The North Texas Food Bank has unveiled a plan to combat hunger at its roots and build self-sufficient communities in North Texas.

The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) has launched an initiative called "Fulfilling Futures" aimed at addressing food insecurity among college students in North Texas. This program, supported by a $1 million grant from the Addy Foundation, will provide food assistance to students at six colleges and universities in the region, including the University of North Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, and others. The initiative not only focuses on immediate food needs but also aims to support students' long-term success by connecting them with resources for financial stability, career development, and mental health services. NTFB's CEO, Trisha Cunningham, emphasized the importance of this program in helping students overcome barriers to education and achieve their full potential.
