According to a report by CashNetUSA, the price of a McDonald's Big Mac varies significantly across different states in the U.S., with the average cost being $5.15. The report, which analyzed data from January to July 2023, found that the most expensive Big Mac can be found in Hawaii at $5.31, while the cheapest is in Mississippi at $3.91. Other states with notably high prices include New York at $5.23 and California at $5.11, whereas states like Oklahoma and Arkansas offer the burger at lower prices of $3.95 and $3.97 respectively. This variation in pricing reflects differences in local economic conditions, operational costs, and market competition.
