A 40-year-old Santa Rosa man was identified as the forklift operator who died Thursday at a wine storage facility.

The Sonoma County Coroner's Office identified a 29-year-old man, Jose Felix, as the forklift operator who died after being crushed by a wine pallet at the Rodney Strong Vineyards in Healdsburg, California. The incident occurred on August 17, and despite immediate response from Healdsburg Fire Department and medical personnel, Felix succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Healdsburg Police Department is investigating the accident, and the winery expressed their condolences, emphasizing their commitment to safety and cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
