The U.S. Department of Agriculture has terminated 17 projects under a foreign aid program that funds school meals for children in low-income countries, according to an email sent from USDA to congressional staff. The cuts to the McGovern-Dole Food for Education program are in addition to 27 projects canceled last week under USDA's Food for Progress aid program, which sends U.S. commodities abroad for economic development.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency (FSA) has canceled more than $200 million in discriminatory loan practices, as revealed in an exclusive report by Reuters. This decision follows a class-action lawsuit filed by Black farmers who claimed they were unfairly denied loans and other assistance due to their race. The FSA's action aims to address long-standing allegations of discrimination and provide relief to affected farmers. The cancellation of these debts is part of a broader effort by the Biden administration to rectify past injustices in federal agricultural programs and support minority farmers.
