The rising costs of food and housing have hit Oregon families hard.
The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina has opened a new branch in Cornelius to address the increasing need for food assistance in the area, particularly among families and seniors. Located at 19715 S. Main St., the new site aims to serve as a convenient location for residents of northern Mecklenburg and southern Iredell counties. The opening of this branch is part of a broader effort to combat food insecurity, with the food bank also planning to open another location in Mooresville. The initiative has been supported by local partnerships and donations, emphasizing the community's role in helping to feed those in need.
