The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1445 has endorsed a new three-year contract with UMass Memorial Health, which was ratified by 97% of the union members. This contract, effective from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2028, covers approximately 2,000 workers including service and maintenance staff, technical employees, and skilled trades workers across UMass Memorial's facilities in Worcester, Leominster, and Clinton. The agreement includes wage increases, improved health benefits, and enhanced job security measures, reflecting the union's commitment to advocating for better working conditions and compensation for its members.
