Bill Koch consigns nearly 7,800 bottles from one of world's largest single-owner collections

A massive wine collection, amassed over 30 years by a single owner, is set to be auctioned off and could fetch up to $50 million. The collection, which includes over 25,000 bottles and 5,000 lots, features rare vintages from renowned regions such as Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Champagne. The auction, organized by Sotheby's, will take place in several parts, starting in November 2023 and continuing into early 2024. The collection is considered one of the most valuable and extensive private wine collections ever to be offered at auction, with highlights including large formats and rare vintages from top producers like Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Château Pétrus.
