  Phoenix Police say three people are in custody in connection with a fight that resulted in the death of food vendor, Heriberto Acosta, over a year ago.

On May 15, 2023, Phoenix police arrested two suspects, 20-year-old Leonardo Santiago and a 17-year-old male, in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Daniel Lopez, who was shot and killed on May 4, 2023, while working at a food truck near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road. The arrests followed a thorough investigation involving the analysis of surveillance footage and witness statements, which led to the identification and subsequent apprehension of the suspects. Santiago faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery, while the juvenile suspect's charges are pending due to his age. The police continue to seek additional information from the public to further their investigation.
