New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells was absent from the lineup on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays due to food poisoning, as reported by manager Aaron Boone. Wells, who has been performing well with a .279 batting average and five home runs in 32 games since his promotion from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, was replaced by Jose Trevino behind the plate. Despite his illness, Wells is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday.
