US won't seek charges in unarmed Black motorist Ronald Greene's fatal 2019 arrest

The incident occurred after agents responded to reports of gunfire, and Mattia was shot when he allegedly threw something at an agent and made a sudden movement. Despite the Tohono O'odham Nation's call for a thorough investigation, the FBI and federal prosecutors concluded that the agents' use of force was justified under the circumstances, leading to no federal charges being filed. The case has raised concerns about the use of lethal force by Border Patrol agents and the need for accountability and transparency in such incidents.
