Einarson's team took control early, stealing a point in the first end and then scoring three in the second. They continued their dominance with a steal of two in the third end, leading to a five-end game. This win was part of Einarson's effort to bounce back after a loss in her opening game against South Korea's Eun-Ji Gim. Meanwhile, in other matches, Rachel Homan from Ottawa defeated Gim 7-4, and Sweden's Anna Hasselborg won against Winnipeg's Kaitlyn Lawes with a score of 6-5.
